My 4 year old son’s birthday is coming up in a few months and each time he goes to one of his mate’s parties, he keeps on changing the theme he wants for HIS birthday. Keeping in mind the theme, costs, and most importantly weather, can be rather daunting for a Mum. Well, at least for me. I contemplated having it at a playcentre – costs can be exuberant. Then having it at home – hmmm…13 boys trampling all over the house – not a fantastic idea, unless it’s a nice day and I can have the party in the backyard! There was also the idea of having it at a park, like we did last year – again, weather is a main concern, especially being in Melbourne. I put a request out on the Just Us Kids Online facebook page for some ideas on boys parties and got a suggestion for doing a Pirate theme. Excellent! Got some fabulous suggestions for games too!
